How long does it take to inflate the Paddle Board?
It takes most people under 7-8 minutes to fully inflate our boards. If you're in shape you can do it in under 5 minutes. Don't forget to remove the black cap on your pump after about 9-11 PSI to make the last 4-5 PSI a little easier!
How do you install the fin?
Slide and push the fin into the groove and lock the fin with the rear latch. Be sure to read the instructions that comes with your paddle board.
How long does it take to inflate and deflate?
Inflation takes most people 5 to 10 minutes. Deflation takes only 2-3 minutes.
Can this board be used in the Ocean?
Absolutely! Our boards are meant for any body of water. If you are new to paddle boarding we suggest you try the board on a calm body of water before venturing out into waves.
Can you ride with a dog?
Many people ride our boards with their dogs. Be careful and watch your balance!.
Does the board come with a leash?
Yes the board comes with a leash. Everything you see in the photos is included!.
Is this board made from drop stitch material?
Yes! All of our boards are made from drop stitch material: drop stitching gives the board it's shape and rigidty.

United StatesI absolutely love my Komodo paddleboard! Here’s the deal – I am a lifelong kayaker but wanted another option to switch things up a bit, and I loved the prospect of getting more of a full-body workout while on the water. Ultimately, I made the risky decision to purchase a paddleboard without ever trying one out! But boy, am I so happy I got it – it is a lot of fun and easy to transport. After lots of research I landed on GILI for a number of reasons. Not only were there a plethora of favorable reviews, the price-point is fantastic, but the brand’s commitment is hard to beat! This is in addition to aspects like the small features other brands lack, as well as having removable fins. Also, personally, I like appearance of these boards compared to most other brands. I landed on the Komodo since - having never tried one - thought the extra balance would be beneficial. (I thought I would have horrible balance tbh, turns out that’s not the case!). Other than that, the flexibility of this board with the fully-padded top is pretty great if you want to carry others or lounge on it! The bright orange strip of this made the board stand out among the others! I was torn between getting the Komodo and the Adventure, being the same-price point and only minor differences. My father recently decided to get a SUP to join me on the water, and he ended up going with the Adventure because the Komodo is sold out, but I can tell you that board is also NICE. I struggled to find any comparative reviews of the two boards, and they are quite similar minus the padded top, dimensions, and colors: I absolutely love the yellow of the adventure board! Since trying them out, I don’t actually since a difference in balancing on the board (note, my father only wanted the 11’ in the Adventure). Honestly, I think GILI would have a real winner if the Komodo had a longer length available and maybe some more interesting color options. My board is of exceptional quality, easy to pump with the e-pump, and easy to clean and store in the [very high quality and comfortable] backpack back. Not the paddleboard’s fault, all SUPs are like this, but the waterproof hip bags are fantastic to get, especially to hold a boat launch permit that will not remain stuck to the side of the board (Pennsylvania DCNR knows this and says it’s okay if you can just produce it when asked). The accessories are great, and my life vest fits snugly under the cords behind me. Full disclosure, GILI did have a voluntary recall on my original board that I bought due to the adhesive on of their manufacturers decided to use. I don’t see this as a fault, but to showcase their commitment to their product and customers – and the transparency was commendable. The replacement was quick and easy. I partially bring this up to say that the new board had some updates and I can’t fully put my finger on it, but I liked the original board a little more. Subconsciously, I think it might just be the minor visual design changes and – small detail – the orange on the top aligned better with and the color was more similar to the orange on the side. Another time, I needed a replacement screw for my paddle, and they helped me out right away! When I first received the board, the fins were very difficult to insert and click into the fin box’s and took many attempts – I do believe this was a known issue and has since been resolved, because my second board and my father’s board have not had this issue. I want to thank GILI for offering such a great product (I do admit I have never tried another brand to compare, but don’t feel the need to). This board is beautiful, and fun, and easy to control. This is my third summer using it and could not be any happier, and I am so satisfied that I have found a brand I can trust and feel a connection with. If you are debating and on the fence, I say just pull the trigger, and you can’t go wrong with either the Komodo or the Adventure. Happy Paddling!
United StatesThis is my first inflatable SUP. So far, it has met all my expectations. It is easy to maneuver, which means I use my SUP more! It’s also stable enough that my golden retriever can get in on the paddle sessions, no problem. It is well built and very well designed. I like the graphics too, although that was not a deciding factor in my selection - it’s just a bonus! Thank you for building a quality product that is intuitive about the paddler’s needs.

United StatesMy wife loves her Komodo. It's worked out great for a first iSUP. It's easy to get used to balancing on and the quality is excellent. I appreciate that the bungees are detachable giving them multiple uses. It also works great with our younger son sitting up front. Now that my older son just turned 8 we got him the 9' Cuda and he is so stoked! He's picking it up super quick. Here is a picture of him out on it for the first time.
